Unique Student Identifier (USI) - Student Information

From 1 January 2015 if you are undertaking a nationally recognised program at TAFE Queensland you will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Learn all about the USI and how to get your USI for your study.

This is a commercial program and is not available to single subscribers. Students wishing to undertake this qualification need to be currently employed in the industry and should be 15 years of age or above. Students should also have well developed literacy and numeracy skills.


Delivered in workplaces throughout Queensland

Resources required

Students will be provided with all the learning resources required to successfully complete this course.


This program is delivered in the workplace in a flexible mode.


To be awarded the Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations competency must be achieved in thirteen (13) units consisting of  3 core units and 10 elective units. Units will be negotiated according to each individual clients needs.


The elective units available may vary between locations, delivery modes and intakes.
