How to enrol

Unique Student Identifier (USI) - Student Information

Entry requirements

Students must be employed as an apprentice or trainee and have a signed Registered Training Contract, stating TAFE Queensland South West is the Supervising Registered Training Organisation (SRTO).

Resources required

It is also recommended that you have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online systems, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at a number of TAFE Queensland locations.


Delivery of this program is available as a combination of workplace training and may include some delivery at TAFE. Where workplace training is selected, a Teacher will be assigned to attend your workplace to deliver training and assess your skills and knowledge. Delivery at TAFE consists of face-to-face classes after being released from the workplace by your employer. The duration of your attendance will vary depending on the stage and the units of competency specified in your individual training plan.

TAFE attendance times: Mondays from 10am to 4.30pm, Tuesdays to Thursdays from 8am to 4.30pm, and Fridays from 8am to 2.30pm (please refer to training notices for minor variations to start and end times).


The successful achievement of this qualification requires you to complete 32 units in total, including 20 core units and 12 elective units.
