Students must be employed as an apprentice or trainee and have a signed Registered Training Contract, stating TAFE Queensland South West is the Supervising Registered Training Organisation (SRTO).

You will also require access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online systems, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at a number of TAFE Queensland locations.
The nominal term for full-time trainees is 12 months. School-based trainees will generally complete their training over a duration of 18 months. Training will include both theoretical and practical components. The practical components will be experienced in the workplace.
As a trainee, you will have access to a trainer/assessor via phone and email during business hours to support your studies. Some school-based cohorts may also attend face-to-face classes during school holiday periods.
