"One Operator" is a training program for Dyno Nobel machinery operators, supervisors, and managers ad is delivered through a co-provider arrangement by the company and by TAFE Queensland South West. One Operator sees Dyno Nobel's staff and content experts deliver training, with SQIT providing quality assurance and compliance; administrative support, and training registration.

At present, 540 Dyno Nobel employees are enrolled in One Operator, which has been acknowledged for its high standard of workforce training via the National Industry Skills Council's (Skills DMC) Chairman's Award (2013).

The company appointed TAFE Queensland South West as its Registered Training Organisation (RTO) due to identified similarities in business operations. For example, both organisations service customers across a large geographical footprint, which includes remote and regional areas. Each organisation is acutely aware of barriers relating to staff communication and contact difficulties, such as limited or zero access to internet and/or phone reception, and, the resources sector's atypical working hours and has developed a range of solutions to address these challenges.
