Apprenticeship and traineeship training

Why train with us?

Our TAFE Queensland South West teachers:

  • are highy experienced and passionate about their trade
  • work with the apprentice/trainee and employer to design a training plan that outlines training needs, how they will be provided, and when/where that training will take place
  • support both the apprentice/trainee and employer to make the plan work
  • provide a Training Record Book and any essential training materials at no cost to the apprentice/trainee
  • visit workplaces to monitor training
  • organise any additional learning support required, for example reading and math skills
  • provide advice on fees and charges, and travel and accommodation subsidies.

Apprenticeship and traineeship courses

TAFE Queensland South West offers a number of avenues for apprentices and trainees to study and can develop a training course to suit your individual enterprise. Courses are flexible, and can be attended during block release or day release, and in many cases, training can be delivered onsite, ensuring minimal interuption to your workday.

School-based apprenticeships and traineeships

School-based apprenticeships and traineeships allow highschool students, typically those in Years 11 and 12, to work with an employer as paid employees whilst studying for their Senior Certificate. Please contact us for more information on how this works.
