Upskill with funding from CSQ!

If you're currently working or have experience in building, construction, or civil construction, you may be able to study a wide variety of courses subsidised by funding from Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ).

Funding is available to assist workers

  • gain high level qualifications,
  • upgrade skills, or
  • gain recognition for existing skills.

Gain recognition for pre-existing skills!

Have your skills formally recognised through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and only train to fill gaps in your knowledge!

The below qualifications are available for eligible workers who are currently employed, or career seekers with significant previous industry experience who are able to use RPL to assess current skills and gap training to complete their studies.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants will be required to complete an eligibility questionnaire and provide identification, residence and employment evidence.

To be eligible to apply for funding, participants must:

  • be either an 'existing worker' currently employed in the building, construction or civil construction industry with one month or more employment relationship with an employer, in a full-time, part-time, casual, self-employed or contract capacity. Existing workers must work 'on tools' and not in a managerial, clerical, professional or ancillary capacity.   
  • OR a 'career seeker' who has prior or significant experience in the building, construction or civil construction industry. This eligibility option relates specifically to AHC30910, CPC30211, RII30815 and RII30915.     
  • be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen; or a permanent resident; or a refugee and humanitarian visa holder.
  • permanently reside in Queensland or be permanently employed in Queensland
